"Journey through East Africa"
This course is aimed at students with a good knowledge of English and who have a B1+ Level.
Exploring language, culture and communication in East Africa.
This course introduces learners to the rich cultural landscapes of East Africa while strengthening their practical English skills. Participants explore regional customs, travel etiquette, social norms and real-life situations.
Target:
- gain cultural knowledge about East Africa's societies and communication norms
- learn useful language for travel, interaction and cultural exchange
- understand how expectations differ between European and East African contexts.
Content:
- greetings, politeness and everyday etiquette
- cultural norms and values in East African communities
- travel vocabulary and real-life scenarios
- safety, navigation and local communication tips
- cultural storytelling and traditions
- comparing European and East African interaction styles.
Teaching material will be announced in class.
